The Iowa Family Preservation Project accepts donations of new and gently-used items to directly support children and families. Use this page to find the drop-off location that is most convenient for you so your donation can quickly reach a family in need.
What You Can Donate
We gratefully accept a variety of practical items that help families meet everyday needs. Examples include:
- Clothing and shoes (all sizes)
- Basic hygiene items (toothpaste, soap, shampoo, diapers, wipes)
- School supplies (backpacks, notebooks, crayons, pencils)
- Household essentials (bedding, towels, kitchen basics: large items may be accepted upon request based on necessity)
- Nonperishable food items (canned goods, dry goods, boxed meals – all items must be unopened and within their expiration date)
Please only donate items that are clean, in good condition, and gently used or new. We are unable to accept items that are stained, broken, or unsafe.
